Consultation has concluded

The NT Education Engagement Strategy, released by the Northern Territory Government, is setting a new course for student engagement and improved educational outcomes so that every child can engage in learning.

The Discussion Paper, outlines the focus questions that were posed during the consultation and the rationale behind them. The paper framed the conversations that were had with children, young people, their families, communities, educators and non-government organisations.

The Reflections Paper, was shaped by the questions posed in the 2021 Education Engagement Strategy Discussion Paper and the beliefs and assumptions that underpin those questions.

It includes an analysis of what was heard during the consultation and encapsulates what children, young people, their families, communities, educators and non-government organisations believe that early childhood education and care services, schools and the education system can do more of to engage all children and young people in learning. The Department of Education worked with Charles Darwin University to collate, analyse and prepare the Reflections paper.
