Anti-Social Behaviour App

The NT Anti-social Behaviour app is part of a comprehensive 5-point plan to tackle anti-social behaviour in Darwin and Palmerston and get people off the street and on to a better path.

The app enables community members to report anti-social behaviour in public places including:

• Public drunkenness/ intoxication
• Noise or nuisance

The app also enables the community to notify Larrakia Nation of vulnerable people in public places, to assist and support in connecting with support services:

• Sleeping, camping or homelessness
• Welfare checks

The new mobile app is linked to Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation Patrol Service. Reports are sent to the Larrakia Nation’s call centre which operates weekdays from 5am – 12am, the peak hours for anti-social behaviour. Top Enders wanting to report after these hours will be advised through the app to contact NT Police on 13 14 44 or in the case of an emergency 000. When a report is lodged, Larrakia Nation assess the report and the next available Patrol vehicle is sent to that location. If anti-social behaviour is occurring the patrol will mediate and negotiate with people involved and if required the NT Police will be contacted to assist.

There is a difference between anti-social behaviour and criminal activity, which must continue to be reported to the police including:

• Physical fighting/assaults
• Threats of violence
• Property break-ins and stealing
• Drug use and trafficking
