The Story of Our Children and Young People (the Story) is a State of the Children report for the Northern Territory. It was a biennial commitment by the Northern Territory Government in Starting Early for a Better Future, it’s early childhood development strategy.
The Story provides a comprehensive outline of child and youth wellbeing using the six domains of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth’s Nest framework, alongside a locally developed Aboriginal Framework.
The Story is a resource for government, the community sector and broader community to inform and guide policy, planning, decision-making and practice.
