The 2025 graduates from the Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet (CM&C) are working on the Securing Territory Talent project.

The project aims to identify ways to encourage Northern Territory (NT) students to complete their tertiary studies in the NT or return after studying interstate.

We want to understand what factors drive NT students to study interstate or stay in the NT, and what might encourage more students to return or remain in the NT after study.

Your feedback will help shape future NT government policies supporting students and the NT's workforce. Your responses are confidential, and no individual will be identified. You can stop at any time.

As part of this we are mapping existing initiatives, collecting student movement data, and conducting research to develop evidence-based recommendations to provide to the NT government.

We are seeking input from a variety of stakeholders to better understand the reasons people stay in or leave the NT to study.

Your experiences, ideas and insights will help shape the recommendations to grow, attract and retain the population across the NT.

• People who left the NT to study interstate
• People who studied interstate and returned to the NT, and
• People who chose to stay and study in the NT.
