The updated Planning Act 1999, Planning Regulations 2000 and Northern Territory Planning Scheme 2020
came into force on Friday 31 July 2020


Implementation of Phase 1 of Planning Reform is now well underway.

The new planning legislation and NT Planning Scheme are now in force. You can:

  • check out the new layout and subscribe to get planning notices straight to your inbox on Planning Notices
  • lodge and pay for all planning applications through Lodge and Track
  • check out the new land planning and development home page at nt.gov.au/planning

Keep checking back at nt.gov.au/planning as more content continues to be added, including more information for the community about how to get involved in all stages of planning.
