Help shape the new Training and Resource Centre for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence workers
The Northern Territory Government is establishing a Training and Resource Centre to strengthen the workforce that responds to domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV).
This new centre will make it easier for workers across the Territory to access high-quality, consistent and culturally safe DFSV training. It will be a central hub for professional development, information and guidance, helping to build a more capable and connected workforce that supports safer communities.
The centre will coordinate and deliver DFSV training for workers across the system, from frontline responders and community service staff to managers and board members. It will also ensure DFSV training is culturally appropriate, especially for Aboriginal communities, and accessible in regional and remote areas.
By bringing together existing expertise, the centre will streamline training delivery, strengthen collaboration between services and raise professional standards across the Territory.

how the centre can best support your role or organisation
how it can be inclusive, equitable and culturally safe for all communities.
Consultation is open from 27 October to 14 November 2025.
To have your say you can:
complete the online survey below
send an email or provide a written submission to dfv@nt.gov.au
contact our project team for more information on 08 8936 4067.
All feedback will be de-identified and used to guide the design and establishment of the centre.
Thank you for contributing. Your input will help create a stronger, more connected DFSV workforce that helps keep Territorians safe, respected and free from violence.
