Consultation has concluded

Migration NT in the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade is undertaking consultations with a wide range of stakeholders through surveys, public forums, workshops and interviews, to collect insights that will inform the design of the Northern Territory (NT) Business and Skilled Migration Strategy for 2022- 2027.

Increased international migration is vital to population growth and building a skilled and diverse workforce. (NT Population Growth Strategy 2018-28). Business and skilled migration has significant economic and social benefits to the NT. It can help fill workforce gaps, and provide new expertise and opportunities to grow our industries. Business and skilled migration will play a significant role as we rebuild from the impacts of COVID-19 which has exacerbated skills shortages across many NT industries.

Your input to designing this Strategy is an important contribution to the future of the NT.
