Consultation has concluded

On 30 June, Minister Paul Kirby approved the development of an NT Veterans Strategy (Veterans Strategy).

The Veterans Strategy will draw together elements of the Northern Territory Government veterans’ policy and clarify DefenceNT’s role in supporting the work of ESOs and other community groups.

Your contribution will assist in the development of the Strategy for veterans in the Northern Territory.

Goal

To attract and retain veterans to the Northern Territory (NT) through key strategy objectives.

Strategy objectives

Promote and support:

  • Veterans employment opportunities to assist in a successful transition to civilian life.
  • Veterans health and wellbeing services to veterans living in the NT.
  • Respect for service through education, commemoration and recognition programs.
