Land Development Corporation - Strategic Reset Discussion Paper

The Northern Territory Government is reviewing the strategic direction, functions and operating approach of the Land Development Corporation (LDC) to ensure it continues to meet the needs of a growing and evolving Territory.

Established under the Land Development Corporation Act 2003, the LDC plays a key role as the Territory’s strategic land developer, supporting economic development, population growth and the delivery of serviced land.

Over time, the Territory’s development landscape has changed, with shifting demand cycles, housing pressures in regional centres and a more mature industrial land market in Darwin.

This review is focused on strengthening the LDC’s role to respond to these changes by supporting economic growth, enabling regional development, improving housing supply and facilitating investment.

It aligns with the Government’s priorities of Rebuilding the Economy, Restoring the Territory Lifestyle and Reducing Crime.

Stakeholders, industry and community members are invited to provide feedback on the proposed direction outlined in the discussion paper. You can share your views by completing the online survey below or providing a written submission.
