CTP9 Mereenie Development Wells WM31/WM32 Environment Management Plan
On 24 October 2024, Central Petroleum Ltd submitted an Environment Management Plan (EMP) for assessment, under the Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016.
As part of the assessment process, the EMP was published for comment on 4 November 2024.
Comments close on 3 December 2024.
The EMP proposes a scope of activities on the operating oil and gas Mereenie Field within Operating Licence OL4.
Your submission will be considered in the decision-making of this EMP by the NT Government and the Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment.
Scope of activities
The EMP includes the following scope of activities:
- Drilling of up to 2 petroleum wells
- Undertaking approximately 4.1 ha additional land clearing
- Associated civil works including:
- Well site access tracks
- Well site infrastructure
- Flaring of gas
- Well testing, completion and decommissioning,
- Installation and commissioning of above and below-ground flowlines from wellhead to gathering network
- Storage, management and on-site disposal of drill cuttings and residual drill fluids
- Rehabilitation of wells and well sites
