Stratigraphic well EXP93-02 EP93 Environment Management Plan

On 21 January 2026, Simpson Energy Pty Ltd submitted an Environment Management Plan (EMP) for assessment, under the Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016.

As part of the assessment process, the EMP was published for comment on 4 February 2026. 

Comments close on 4 March 2026.

The EMP proposes a scope of activities on the Andado pastoral station and on Pmer Ulperre Ingwemirne Arletherre Land Trust within exploration permit (EP) 93.

Your submission will be considered in the decision-making of this EMP by the NT Government and the Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment.

Scope of activities

The EMP includes the following scope of activities:

• Drilling of 1 conventional petroleum well
• Associated civil works including:
  • Upgrading 39.25 km of existing access tracks
  • One well pad and drill cutting sump
  • One 50-person camp

Other ancillary infrastructure.
