Draft Environment Management Plan Content Guideline: Onshore Petroleum Regulated Activities
The Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS) is seeking feedback on a draft Environment Management Plan Content Guideline.
The guideline has been developed to be a convenient and practical reference guide to improve transparency and convey the expectations of DEPWS on the minimum content requirements of an environment management plan. It is aimed at onshore petroleum interest holders and consultants, who are drafting environment management plans for a regulated activity, for assessment and approval under the Northern Territory Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016.
Interested persons are invited to view the draft EMP Content Guideline (in the document library on this page) and make written comments to DEPWS Petroleum Operations via email: HYSPetroleum.DEPWS@nt.gov.au; or by mail to:
DEPWS Petroleum Operations
GPO Box 3675
Darwin NT 0801
Written comments must be received on or before 9 June 2021. For alternative access to the guidelines, contact the Department on (08) 8924 4218. DEPWS will publish a table of responses on the Have Your Say website, to all comments received.
Public comments are now closed, DEPWS will publish all feedback on the Draft EMP Content Guideline in the coming weeks.
